Gantous & Abou Raad Arak

New! Similar to ouzo and pastis, arak is an anis-flavored, traditional spirit in Middle Eastern counties. Great as an aperitif or accompaniment to his refreshingly unsweetened spirit is a particular treat in warm weather. Gantous & Abou Raad Arak is made with just three ingredients: grape spirit, aniseeds, and water. Therefore, the flavor and aroma is distinctively clean and bright. Thanks to the natural oils from the anise, a traditional serve of one part arak to two parts water will yield a lovely clouding effect.

Snap Liqueur

New!! A spicy, organic artisanal spirit from Art In The Age makers of the wonderful Liqueur Root, is a 100% organic, small-batch liqueur infused with a plethora of botanicals such as blackstrap molasses, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and Roobois Tea to create a liqueur with the flavors of the German “Lebkuchen” from which the American Ginger Snap cookie derived from. Lebkuchen was invented by German monks in the 12th century and first appeared in America in the late 1600s, unfortunately present day commercial Ginger Snaps are a pale comparison to those originally made by the Pennsylvania Dutch.  Try it served up neat or in a bourbon cocktail!

This is a sophisticated organic spirit based on authentic folk history designed for folk who appreciate finer more authentic liqueurs. Try it and you will say “nix besser,” which is Pennsylvania Dutch for “none better”.

750 ml 80 Proof

Tasting Notes: Somewhat sweet, spicy and buttery with Lively brown sugary aroma, like fresh baked gingersnaps with a touch of cinnamon. Molasses up front with a long ginger finish and hints of vanilla.

Suze d’Autrefois

Contact us for availability~ Suze was created in 1889 by the Parisian distiller Fernand Moureaux, and for more than a century it has been produced with the strictest respect for tradition. Fresh wild yellow gentian is carefully selected and harvested by hand from the mountains of Auvergne, prior to maceration and distillation in Suze. Suze quickly grew in popularity and was captured in Picasso’s 1912 “Verre et bouteille de Suze.” In 1922, Suze initiated the first of many successful advertising campaigns and today, Suze is the fifth leading liqueur in France. Suze Saveur d’Autrefois is modelled after the original 1885 recipe for Suze with intense flavours and a unique personality that reflects fresh yellow gentian. Born during the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889, both Suze and the Eifel Tower are linked as French icons. Furthermore Gustav Eifel contributed to the design of the Suze distillery that was constructed in 1922. Suze honored this connection with a special 120 year anniversary bottling in 2009 that was designed in tribute to the famed Eiffel style.

Schoharie Mapple Jack Liqueur

2013 International Review of Spirits Award: Silver Medal (Highly Recommended)
Be the first to enjoy this unique spirit! Schoharie Mapple Jack is a unique blend of Apple Brandy crafted by hand from locally grown New York State Apples and pure Maple syrup. First apple cider is cool fermented and then distilled.  The spirit is aged at 100 Proof in oak casks until the desired taste and aroma profile is achieved then blended with crystal clear Schoharie water and just a touch of Locally produced Maple syrup.  Each bottle is corked and wax sealed by hand. This is a very pleasant, crisp brandy with hints of apple, Maple and flavors of baking spice and toasted nuts with a delightful smoothness from the first sip on.

This liqueur is best enjoyed on its own or can be used in mixed drinks as a whiskey.

From the Beverage Testing Institute: Golden amber color. Aromas and flavors of dried apple, pecan praline, and maple rice cereal with a soft, off-dry medium body and a buoyant, nutty, lightly peppery Irish whisky finish.

Decorative cloth bottle bag hand crafted by local seamstress Pam Burgher each with a distinctive decorative touch  Color: Mauve/Calico Print

Roots inception was a Tea that Native Americans would drink as an herbal remedy. Brewed from sassafras, sarsaparilla, wintergreen birch bark, and other roots and herbs, Root Tea was used to cure a variety of ailments. As colonial settlers passed the recipe down form generation to generation, the drink grew in potency and complexity. This was especially true in the Pennsylvania hinterlands where the ingredients naturally grew in abundance. These homemade, extra-strong Root Teas were a favorite in colonial homes and public houses all over the northeastern colonies.
